Santiago “Leon” Rivera (he/him) is a long time community organizer. A proud afro latino, Leon Rivera was born and raised on Magnolia St in Dorchester and attended West Roxbury High School. He was raised by a single Dominican mother who he advocated & translated for at a very young age. He got his start in politics at a young age volunteering with the late great Chuck Turner. Turner helped Leon understand that local politics are important, and that our communities are worth supporting, no matter what. For the past decade, Leon has taken the lessons he has learned living and working in this community, and has dedicated his life to activism and uplifting the community. From advocating for safe drinking water at our BPS schools to helping address the opioids crisis in Boston, Leon has been there & now hes ready to bring our voice to city hall.
